Beard Octane recently launched a brand new website (11/25/2019). As part of this process, we had to migrate all customer information over from a completely different website platform, over to this new one. Sometimes during these transfers, information can be lost.
Therefore, if you created an account on the old website, you may get a message stating that your account does not exist when attempting to log in on the new website. Simply create a new account and your previous orders should be located in your account. However, in some instances you may find that orders did not transfer over. With that, we apologize for any inconvenience. The move to the new website platform was for the better, and to improve your shopping experience.
So, you've recently made the smartest decision in your life...ever, and purchased some of Beard Octane's Award Winning Beard Balms. Over time, you notice that the once silky smooth beard balm has become a bit grainy, or has a "gritty" feeling to it. You may also notice that it looks like there are small granular "dots" if you will, in your beard balm. No worries, don't panic! The product is NOT bad. This issue commonly occurs in beard balms that include either Shea Butter or Mango Butter, even sometimes with Olive Butter. Why does this happen you may ask? Well, the easiest way to explain is that all of these butters contain multiple fatty acids. When beard balm is made, these butters are melted down. However, the fatty acids in these butters all have different melting points. If the butter is melted, then cools slowly, the fatty acids contained within the butters can then solidify at various rates. This can then cause the butter/fatty acids to crystalize (or grainy/gritty).
DOES THIS AFFECT THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT?
Absolutely not! Your beard balm is still just as effective and contains all of the proper conditioning properties for which you purchased it for.
HOW DO I FIX THIS?
Simply reheat the butter and cool it down quickly. This can be accomplished by warming beard balm back up until it completely melts and hold it at this temperature for approximately 20 minutes (can use a double boiler or Pyrex in a water bath). Once the beard balm is melted for approximately 20 minutes, remove the beard balm from heat and place it in the freezer for approximately 10 minutes. This will allow the beard balm to quickly cool in a more control, or forced manner.
This is a difficult one to answer. As we sometimes consider ourselves animals, bearded animals. But NO, WE NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVERRRRRR test any of our products on animals. Beard Octane is 100% Cruelty Free, and we only test our products on Humans...willingly or unwillingly.

The simple explanation is that certain aroma chemicals come in a powder form. Commonly a Phthalate like Diethylphthalate (DEP) is utilized to convert these powders into a liquid form. There could be a number of reasons why your credit card payment method was declined here on Beard Octane. The question you should ask yourself is, "Have I maxed out my credit spending limit by previously buying a lot of Beard Octane products?". If this answer is "No", then there could be a few other possible reasons for payment being declined. Here are the most common reasons:
You did not enter your credit card number exactly as it appears on your credit card
Your CVV (security code - commonly on back of card) does not match
Your Zip Code entered for your billing address does not match the Zip Code associated with the credit card
Beard Octane has multiple security checks in place, that scan for these type of issues, and will commonly decline your card if any of this information is incorrect. This is to protect you, as the cardholder, and so we don't find out later on that you didn't place the order and we get stiffed on products which were fraudulently purchased, which then forces us to close the business because we can't afford the electricity required to operator the label printer used to print shipping labels. But, if for some reason you are still having issues, simply contact us!
If you placed an order and see that there may have been an error and multiple orders were placed, do not panic! Simply contact us here at Beard Octane and we will sort it out quickly. If you received some kind or error message or code during this time, please forward this information to us as well, as we can then quickly troubleshoot any potential issues on BeardOctane.com
If you placed an order and see that there are additional or multiple charges, which you did not purposely make, simply contact us! We can cancel/void any additional payments quickly. Please keep in mind, that refunds to Credit Cards, Bank Accounts, and/or PayPal can take 5-10 days to properly process. If we see multiple charges on our end, we will notify you and confirm the additional charges.
So you got tough and placed an order here on BeardOctane.com...bout time. However, you're feeling good about yourself but never received an order confirmation email. Panic sets in...cold sweats...anxiety. We get it. But don't worry, we're here to help you out!
First, ensure that the confirmation email did not land in your emails spam or junk folder. If after a few minutes you do not receive an order confirmation email, simply send us an email at email@example.com and let us know. We'll happily send a new confirmation email out to you, and just confirm everything is good to go with your order!
First be sure to check your provided tracking number. As stated in our shipping policy, all orders are typically shipped within 1-3 Business Days. However, I do my very best to ship orders the very same day or at least by the next day, business day or not. If something is delayed, you will be notified. Please be sure to first check your tracking number, as there have been incidents where the shipment was delayed and/or lost by the shipping carrier itself. Most companies then place the burden of this on the customer, as it is out of their hands once it leaves their facility. PLEASE let us know if this occurs. If there is an issue with the shipping carrier, typically we can not do anything from our end. Contact your local USPS location, and see if they have any updates.
If not, please contact us, and we will ensure that you receive your product, or a replacement product. I want to make sure you are completely satisfied with my company, my products, and my service.
YES. Once your payment clears, and the United States Postal Service delivers to your shipping location (even if it's by ten-speed), then YES. Please keep in mind, that rates may vary based on the country and the weight of the order.
DUTIES & FEES
Beard Octane is not responsible for any duties and/or fees due at the time of import/export. This is the sole responsibility of the Buyer. If additional duties and/or import/export fees are required due to a product being returned, the returner/buyer is responsible for these fees.
Once you have placed an order, please allow 1 - 3 business days for processing. We try to ship the same or the very next business day whenever possible. Please keep in mind that extended processing times may occur due to holidays and/or promotional sales which generate large volumes of orders.

Once your order is processed and packaged for shipment, a shipping label is printed and a tracking number is generated. You will then receive an automated email with the corresponding tracking number for your pending shipment. The shipment tracking status is then updated once the United States Postal Service (USPS) physically scans the package at their distribution facility. Please allow 24 - 48 hours for tracking number updates.
